Business of the Month:
Seigle's Cabinet Center

More than a Century of Service to the Industry

The first Seigle's Cabinet Center (Elgin Lumber Company) was established in 1881 by a group of prominent Elgin businessmen led by the Borden dairy family who recognized the need for a well-supplied lumber yard in our expanding community.

Over a century later, this family owned company was listed as one of the top 50 building material dealers nationwide. No other supplier in the Chicago market rivaled the scope and breadth of Seigles. Their product offerings of lumber, trusses, doors, trim, windows and cabinets commanded the loyal following of over 2,000 contractors.

In 2005 Seigles was acquired by Stock Building Supply becoming part of the nation's largest building material dealers. In light of market conditions, Stock exited the market in 2009. Coincident with the closure, Mark Seigle and his family reacquired the cabinetry operation becoming the largest distributor of kitchen and bath cabinetry in the Chicago market.

There are four locations currently in Elgin, Yorkville, Chicago and our newest 3000 sq. ft. showroom in Mundelein. Seigles opened their newest venture in October called Chicago Discount Cabinets available in each location. Bring in your measurements and get a free quote.

Seigles also provides a variety of countertop surfaces and great prices. Seigle's Cabinet Center has achieved such success by keeping promises, delivering value and striving to be the best.

Seigles joined NARI in 2010 to improve its presence in their market segment and have since done business with many new remodelers and contractors and made many new friends along the way.

Mark Seigle and his family, through the Seigle Family Foundation, are ardent supporters of Health, Education, Social Services and the Arts.
